I love this series. I wish they would release more translated volumes for it. I think this would've done better if they had done a better job advertising it when they licensed it.

My Darling! Miss Bancho 1 Mayu Fujikata Books Reviews

I absolutely loved this story, especially as someone just starting to get into manga. I thought the story was creative, funny, and lighthearted, and I've read it over and over again. The only thing that upsets me is that the later volumes don't seem to have been published in English yet, but I did some digging and found a way to read some of them online, where I've read through volume 3. I can't recommend this book highly enough.
A lighthearted story about a pretty but otherwise ordinary girl who, because of certain circumstances, enrolls in a technical high school. What she doesn't know is the the boys are out of control and all the girls have transferred, so she is the only one! She meets a boy, attractive, strong and charismatic, and he vows to protect her and even teaches her a few tricks. The next thing you know, she has become the "boss king" or Bancho of the high school!

I like the story and enjoy the gags in this comic. I like the main character, who has hidden strength that only surfaces when she really needs to show it. Could she really be suited to be a gang boss?

This is Fujikata-san's debut manga, and the art is a little uneven. Strangely, the art inside the book is better, IMO, than the cover art! The story feels fresh despite some common elements. I will continue to read the series and encourage you to join me. Its perfect for a Sunday afternoon.
